Day 1: Arrival in Gangtok

• Arrival: Reach Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or NJP Railway Station → Drive to Gangtok (4-5 hrs)

• Check-in: Hotel in Gangtok

• Sightseeing (half day):

  • MG Road (shopping, cafés)

  • Tashi View Point

  • Enchey Monastery

  • Flower Exhibition Center

• Overnight: Gangtok

Day 2: Tsomgo Lake & Nathula Pass

• Day trip from Gangtok (full day):

  • Tsomgo Lake – a glacial lake at 12,400 ft

  • Baba Mandir

  • Nathula Pass (Indo-China border) – Permit required

• Note: Nathula closed on Mon & Tue

• Return: Evening in Gangtok

• Overnight: Gangtok

Day 3: Gangtok to Lachen (North Sikkim)

• Drive: 6–7 hours (start early)

• En route stops:

  • Singhik View Point

  • Seven Sisters Waterfall

  • Naga Waterfall

• Arrival: Lachen (9,000 ft) – a serene mountain village

• Check-in & rest

• Overnight: Lachen

Day 4: Gurudongmar Lake → Transfer to Lachung

• Early Morning: Visit Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft) – one of the highest lakes in the world

  • Requires early departure (~3 AM)

  • Breathtaking views, oxygen can be thin

• Return to Lachen

• Drive to Lachung: 2–3 hours

• Overnight: Lachung

Day 5: Yumthang Valley & Zero Point

• Visit:

  • Yumthang Valley – “Valley of Flowers”

  • Optional: Zero Point (12,000+ ft) – snow-covered almost year-round

• Drive back to Gangtok in the afternoon/evening (6–7 hours)

• Overnight: Gangtok

Day 6: Gangtok Local → Departure

• Morning (if time permits):

  • Rumtek Monastery

  • Namgyal Institute of Tibetology

  • Banjhakri Falls

• Drive to NJP/Bagdogra for departure (4–5 hrs)
